Tacos, chips, salsas and guacamole at El Taquito
Made fresh, every day

Same family. Same recipes.

El Taquito opened on Mission Blvd in Hayward in 1976, started by Francisco "Paco" Padilla and his wife, Aurora. Nearly fifty years later, the family is still cooking, and every dish is still made fresh from their family recipes.

Many of our guests grew up eating here. They came as kids with their parents, and now they bring their own children to the same tables.

"¡Bienvenidos, amigos! Estamos a sus órdenes."

Two Restaurants, One Family

Mission Blvd and Winton Ave

Paco and Aurora opened the original El Taquito on Mission Blvd in 1976, and it still serves there today. In 2009 the family opened El Taquito Dos on W. Winton Ave, run by co-owners Oralia Padilla and Jorge Espinosa, with a sunny patio and delivery. Same family recipes at both.

The best tacos in town — wherever you are

You will find our yellow "Best Tacos in Town" tent at office lunches, parties and quinceañeras. Every year our Winton Ave restaurant sponsors the taco eating contest at the Hayward Mariachi Festival at City Hall Plaza, celebrating Mexican Independence Day and Hispanic Heritage Month. If you are feeding a crowd, we will bring the taco bar to you.
